Touring flood damages with Jamestown Mayor Shoedinger and Sen. Udall
It’s been a true honor to serve as your Boulder County Commissioner these past few years – and I would welcome the opportunity to continue to work for you one more term.
Together we have achieved much in the last three years, including responding to the devastating September 2013 flood disaster, strengthening the safety net for those still recovering from the economic recession, and safeguarding more of our world-class open space, to name just a few accomplishments.
But there’s still so much to be done, from climate change mitigation to affordable housing to better transportation choices. I’m eager to work with you to tackle these challenges and ensure that Boulder County stays a wonderful place to live, work and play.
For Boulder County,
"If we are to tackle the truly pressing challenges facing our community and nation, we will need to come together, not tear each other apart. This means embracing a standard of ethics in our civic conversations that includes civility and respect as well as integrity." http://www.timescall.com/columnists/opinion-local/ci_30385328/boulder-county-commissioner-elise-jones-embrace-integrity-and

It's been a tear-jerker of a week as we say goodbye to our beloved Parks & Open Space Director Ron Stewart. Can't thank him enough for all his incredible service to Boulder County and beyond. His legacy will live on forever in the mountain backdrops and pastoral landscapes that will stay beautiful and undeveloped in perpetuity.
Got to take a sneak peek at Lyon's new LaVern M. Johnson Park -- it's completely amazing! And couldn't be named after a better community matriarch! Can't wait to spend some more time there.
